LMS5400 = SQ sub that is loud DD 9515 = SPL sub that sounds great As far as a 5400 doing ~145 on 2500w...had to be a mediocre(sp?) install. Or a daily bass install. The 9515 will be more effient, but the 5400 will be more of a low note monster. They are 2 totally different animals. The 5400 would prolly make a better daily low not monster sub, but the 9515 will prolly get louder w/ the same power (INSTALL IS KEY!!!) Also, the 9515 does not have 80mm xmax...what is xmech. (5400 has 88mm xmech)

NOT an lms 5400.. his is a custom built (well, was, its destroyed now) and he had a sh.it box, and admitted it.. and not enough power (you need around 3000 to a 4hp based driver) and if you just want to play a numbers game.. i know a guy that did a 155.xx with 1 18" 4hp, in a daily driver jeep Cherokee, i have personally done a 151.3 with 1-18" 5200 in a 3.5 cuft box tuned to 36.. and in a few more weeks i will give you my #'s off of 2 18" tc5200's, if you care... of course, that's just talking random numbers... It really comes down to whatever you like.. they are both nice woofers, but as was mentioned.. they are based towards different uses. I also find dd's unwillingness to release t/s parameters.. unsettling Just some random thoughts.
