Thursday, August 09, 2007 - 16:01 GMT I am running a PPI 1400RMS @ 4ohm. When i turn it up i see my headlight diming. I know i need a HO alt but dont have the money for it right now. I was thinking if a batcap would help me out?

Thursday, August 09, 2007 - 17:52 GMT If you need a HO alternator, there is no substitute. Anything else is just masking the problem. Until you can afford one, keep the volume down. If you really think about it, the cost of batcap is as much as an alternator.

Thursday, August 09, 2007 - 18:12 GMT No, HO alternator will depend on your car's make and model. I've seen some 150A alternators for $150 or less.
