I have an inexpensive Samsung DVD Player/Recorder and found why movies would skip, pause or stop, and since I couldn't find this solution anywhere in older posts for same problems, wlll post it here. Took the batteries out of the DVD remote, and whalla! No more problems! The remotes circuitry was apparently causing the problems-won't hit the remote to remove batteries again Amazed after reading over 100 posts I did not find this solution, and it took over an hour of braindrain to find my problem.
