i bought memory for my computer, i installed it and i turned the PC on the power lights were on , but the screen stayed black.When i took out the memory that i bought, it was working again. What seams to be the problem?

The new memory. Could be too slow; could be DOA; etc.

Wrong type of memory or it wasnt seated properly.

is it ddr memory or pc 133 or pc 100
