ok will one of my friends has a systme hooked up in there car everything works fine as long as you only use it for short trips like to the store or the amp will turn on and off like its getting to hot or you will get a very strong burning smell. What i cant figure out is if the amp is underpowering the sub or what. the Amp is a profile AP1200.2 the sub is infinity perfect kapa 10 what do you all think? ooo and wiring is a 4/0
But to answer your question, check out all the connections to begin with. If those are all good, make sure the impedence is right for the amp. I assume you and your friend are knowledgable enough to have the amp running where it's supposed to be...
