Friday, July 13, 2007 - 01:26 GMT I am looking to get rid of my 2 12" SI BMs which are in a ported box. I was wondering if 2 15s in a sealed box could match the output of the BMs? If so what would be reccomeneded for sealed? My budget is 600 for the pair and I have a NINe.1 amp for them.

Friday, July 13, 2007 - 02:46 GMT Would 2 15s sealed be better for me than 2 12s ported?

Friday, July 13, 2007 - 03:30 GMT depends on the subs. i always prefer ported over sealed because its more efficient and if you get good drivers they wont distort anyways. so in my mind sealed is always inferior. unless you only want punchy bass as opposed to allout extended bass

Friday, July 13, 2007 - 16:02 GMT I have a 2001 maxima. I am barely able to fit the 12s box through the trunk and it is 4.4 cuft. But yes, I only said sealed because I think there is no way I could fit two 15s ported through the trunk lid.

Friday, July 13, 2007 - 16:09 GMT I don't think one 15" be that much better than what I already have. But I don't know. I want the bass to hurt and sound great doing it.
