i want to see some pictures of the 18. but i think that i changed my mind to 2 re MT 15'' in a 2005 single cab F150. i measured i can get up to 8.8 cu ft and still drive comfortably. i can get a HO alt., and the works to power it. what ya think? haha i cant remember the name of the class i am planning on running in. i can have 2 layer of dynamat and one extra battery ......i sat in an explorer with 4 12'' MT's with 2 7000 watt amps and i cant believe what i heard. he had the meter set up in the shop and it hit 156 in all of that air space. im just currious as to what i would end up hitting in the single cab with 2 15's
^ smoking crack... only thing he got right is the fact that mt's have very little sq which i'm not even sure that's entirly true. he's what we like to call an RE dick rider...
lol... gahh such confusion here. first of all sq is subjective. second of all...reece. you think an MT couldnt beat a 9500 in spl? its very possible it can. also its possible that a 9500 can beat an MT in spl. those two woofers are both capable of handling high power levels and both putting out very high spl numbers. now flat out saying a 9500 could beat a MT in spl is kinda stupid. also why call names man i mean really?
oh sh!t i thought we were talking about dd 9500 that's why i was like WTF... i was like is this dude serious? a q take a dd 9500 in spl? an xxx handle mroe power than a dd 9500? in terms of the mtx yea everything he said was true... and dane of course an re mt would be louder than the mtx sub, but nothing was ever said about that... but mts can be used in daily drivers... steve meade did it for quite sometime...

yeah im from tifton. i have been to LB's he wants to charge me $1000 for the xxx 18. and about $650 for the MT 15'' i donot know they dont have any xxx's for me to hear and i have heard the SX's and MT's i like the sq of the sx but i absolutly LOVE the raw poundage of the MT
1000 for the xxx 06 is a good deal. i would buy it. id love to have on of the split gap xxx actually i almost bought one. not too many subs have that type of excursion. unfortunately ive never heard one. but im sure it will put out some good spl numbers and they have always been sql subs so the sq will be there. i always onder ho much they would have been if they didnt sell re to usamps.
what amp you gonna run it on? id get at least another battery in the back. if your gonna run two of the id say you need about 5000 watts for the mts anyway. so actually id get two more batts for the back. at least. and the xxxs and the mts will both be louder then the mtx 9500.
