the thread on ca.com doesnt say anything about the release date. Ive asked around and talked to some ppl and they got no clue. I just check audioque's site every day and see if it is updated yet. I rly wanna no when they are released though.
I have made some last minute fine tuning to the sub which has caused a short delay in production. I have been told they should be here in six weeks.
The latest prototypes have been tested by J Ledgerwood and myself; I was very pleased with the sound quality as well as the spl results. The durability test results were very good and have exceeded my expectations.
I have decided not to use the "off the shelf 12 spoke basket" and use the more expensive DD 12 spoke basket which I think is more suited to the motor and suspension design as well as better quality control.
I also tweaked the suspension a little as well as the coils. The coils will not be off the shelf Chinese coils. They are Chinese but have been custom made for the HDC3.
We have spent over 18 months in the design and testing of the HDC3. We wanted to be confident we bought the best the Chinese had to offer. I am very pleased with the end product and feel the time was well worth the expense.
The prices are not finalized yet but I have every reason to believe the pricing will be $245 for the 10" and $249 for the 12" and 15". The 18" will be $299.
yeah it sounds like "if u keep changing the release date were not gonna buy em" which imo i doubt dj cares if he loses "several" sales bc the time hes using on the date is being put into making the sub a better product which inturn sells better
I love how you repeatedly mentioned chinese parts lol...it's a f ucking basket so what.As long as it's in spec and tolerances are right who gives a f uck.It does the job just as good as an american made part would or maybe even better right?Despite it being chinese I know AQ would not allow a poorly made part get into their products.
