yeah it really is amazing...i am 18, and i really dont know much about health insurance, but this movie really informs you about what is going on in the world
Guy's don't use movies as a news information. It is like recycling an opinion from tv shows like the Colbert Report or The Daily Show. It's best to go out there and find your own opinion without someone who is a trained speaker telling you how the world is and should be. I'm not saying that everything you see is false. I am merely saying that you don't always know who is telling the truth unless you find out for yourself.
I have seen it these deficiencies first hand as well as the movie. Not all he says is truthful, however enough of it is true that when someone sees it first hand his point will be further illustrated and more will be in the know.
The biggest problem with people like Micheal Moore is that he thinks that if the government took over healthcare it would be 'free'. That's so wrong, we would still be paying for it, but with the bureaucracies and inefficiency of the government, it will end up costing more than it does now in a [partially] competitive environment. Tell me, besides the military, ONE business that the government does better than private enterprise? They can't even deliver our mail adequately.
He neglects to show any of the problems with the health systems in other countries in the film. If you live in Canada and need an MRI, you might have to wait 6 months or more, where here in the US, you can often get it the same day.
The healthcare system in the US is broken and needs to be fixed but putting it all under government control is going to create many more problems including increasing the overall costs per capita. "Free" healthcare is NEVER free.
Very true Ron. If our healthcare system has obvious problems. But least if I need a transplant to save my life or someone else's life I do not have to die on a waiting list. We rate transplants by urgency in this country not like a number system at a deli counter. I think Canada is a beautiful country, but I would not wish to have free healthcare. People really only want free healthcare because they believe it is just that, FREE. Taxes pay for it so nothing is free. In life you learn that you pay for everything obviously. It is because our country of the USA is so medicated that everyone gets mad about how much they have to pay for healthcare.
Now that's the most unhealthy sonofabitch i have ever seen. The united states of america is the one country that you can demoralize your president with no price to pay, you have the freedom to speak your mind as you please, everyone has the right to a free public education, everyone can worship and pray as they please, and everyone and anyone can get up AND FU*KING LEAVE AS THEY PLEASE, if they dont like it. Sure america has a few problems, but their strengths more than outweigh their weaknesses. Michael moore is looking for attention and a few extra bucks. If he did this in any other country, he wouldnt live to see the light of day. I will never watch a movie by michael moore, simply because he is an ignorant moron, when i first heard the title of his new movie, i honestly thought it was referring to him..
Anyone who thinks a Micheal Moore movie has even one shred of accuracy is a f*cking idiot.......
For those who don't know who Moore is, he's a far-left clown who tries to push his own agenda by making movies and trying to pass them off as "documentaries", as if they are factual. Remember Fahrenheit 911? He got sued by some soldiers in Iraq for using their comments out of context in that movie.
One other thing, the US health care system is the best in the world, which is why people come here from all over to get medical care. It ain't perfect, but if you don't like it you can move to a socialist country with a sub-par system or STFU.
