I have ran the PHD10000D and 5000D both. The amps arent to durable they are just basically a budget amp in my sense. As for it burping at .25ohm's i think it will fry within minutes. They get hot easy. THe 10000D at 1ohm (not bridged to the other amp) was shutting down after 10 minutes at a 1ohm load due to temp. and the 5000D just ended up burning out from the 1ohm load. IMO earthquake isnt the way to go for that. FOr the price you would pay for the 2 of them to brige togethor for the 6Krms you can buy a adassa warlord,rd 5750, cactus 5Kw, ect and have about the same power but much better durability.
"As for it burping at .25ohm's i think it will fry within minutes"
Let me correct myself..... within seconds.
Also, this part is just what people say but i havnt actually seen with 4 amps. People say when a earthquake blows it ussualy takes out the subs with it, i have yet to see that. I had 4 PHD10000's blow on me and 1 PHD5000 blow on me, IMO the PHD5000D is the best mono i have used by them. Subs have always been fine. Whats your budget on amps and what power are you looking for @ what OHM also, you can do better ;)
i only had one joe and kept returning for new ones they always had problems for a daily amp, and yes you do need 2 of them and they need to be strapped for the 6K.
