got a 141.7, but i didnt know the resonant frequency so i just did some test tones they gave me, so i pry would have gotten alot better if i knew it at the time, also the amp keeps cutting out, either from heat or from voltage drop, so im gunna do another run of 4 gage, do the big three with 0 gage, fiberfill the box, put fans on the amp, and put some bracing on the box cuss it flexes some, i wana get upto the 145+ area. anybody got guesses where im gunna be after i do all that? and any more suggestions(besides porting it, i dont wana do all the work), i think its pretty good for my first install with any sub that could do anything (i installed alota really cheap subs for my friends)
yeah i know its almost impossible but its something i wana get... there was a van that got metered like 10 minutes before me that got a 157.6 which was pretty sweet, but he probably spend like 10 times what i did, with a budget of 500 bucks. there was a crx that hit 158 with a single 12" juggernaut on two dd z1's
in the 5 cube box it sound pretty good, thats the smallest scott said to make it for an 18", yeah just about 500 dollars, sub 300, amp 200, and then the rest of the crap except the periphrial i had laying around. and nope that 12" was on the dash.
trevor you gotta remember that is a crx.....they dont call it "Rex" for nothing from what I read they hit like 59 hz pretty good and the angle on the hatch helps alot
no matter what car 158 isnt easy to achieve though. and yes, CRX box is subs up, round ports firing back along the bottom of the enclosure. for a higher number sealed i would lessen the volume. but it seems you dont want to build a new enclosure....however you could put something in it to subtract volume. try maybe taking out 1cuft and the poly.... then 1.5cuft ....then 2..
