New member Username: Antone3x7Post Number: 1 Registered: May-07 | I've had Alpine's CDA-9853 for 2 1/2 years and it's occasionally given me problems when ejecting CDs, but with a few tries or a little assistance, I've always been able to get the unit's face to fold down for the CD. Well, just last week, it finally stopped cooperating and now it looks like it'll never open again. I googled for other people reporting the same problem and found this thread: https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/car-audio/138435.html Apparently it's a very common problem with this unit, although mines didn't get that bad until after 2 1/2 years. Is there anything I can do about it? Or will I have to go out and buy a new unit if I want to one day listen to a new CD? I've been looking at Alpine's latest units, CDA-9885 and CDA-9887. How do those two stack up against each other? Any other recommendations? |
