Monday, June 04, 2007 - 00:19 GMT I think AQ is owned by the son of the dude who owns DD. AQ is supposed to be a no frills, slightly scaled down DD. Take none of that as the solid truth though, that's just what I remember reading.

Monday, June 04, 2007 - 00:21 GMT DJ is the Dad of the person who owns DD. DJ owns Audioque. Both AQ and DD are built in the same buildhouse. The HD3 = 9500 SD2.5 = 2500 SD2 = 1500 So ive heard.

Monday, June 04, 2007 - 00:52 GMT I agree with Logan's comparisons.......... the AQ models are basically DDs without some of their features, so to sum it up they handle less power.

Monday, June 04, 2007 - 01:25 GMT I loves my Q. Only a small % of ppl here actually use the edit feature. Hmmmmm. Logan. Have you heard a Q? I can't remember. I know what I spent on my Mag and thought it was worth it. After hearing a Q I was beside myself, knowing what I spent on the Mag. The Mag is worth the $$. A beautiful sub. The Q just steals the show when it comes to value. I know, old story.

Monday, June 04, 2007 - 01:38 GMT Logan. I'm just a HT buff playing in here. What's a BL sound like??? All I know is that My 15" Mag sounded great in my application. My 18" Q sounded great too, and deeper, at $200 less. See my point?? You azz, you're just playing.

Monday, June 04, 2007 - 15:11 GMT You can only order it off the Audioque website unless you find one for sale used somewhere. And IMO between the Q and HD3 it really depends on how much power you are planning on running. Also IMO if you like to listen to a lot of rap/hip hop I would choose the Q because Audioque and DD are so closely related and DD is not really known that well for achieving great lows, where as the Q would shatter them. IMHO.

Monday, June 04, 2007 - 16:57 GMT I only plan on running 1200wrms so would the Q be better? I heard most people run 2000-3000wrms on the HD3... i'm stuck between the elemental designs nine.1 or the Kicker ZX1000.1 which would be best and which ohm load sub would I buy? I want it to sound best in the car, don't really care if the whole neighborhood can hear my bump or not.

Monday, June 04, 2007 - 19:21 GMT really youd take the zx1000.1 over the nine.1? they are nearly the same price, the nine.1 has a 5 year warranty and puts out more power........ and id trust ed build quality over kicker any day, but to each his own i guess

Monday, June 04, 2007 - 20:16 GMT The nine.1 and the kicker put out just about the same power. Kickers amps have excellent build quality and I don't think you will find anyone that will argue that.

Monday, June 04, 2007 - 22:12 GMT Yes. I would definitely get a HU before purchasing subs. It makes the whole install a lot easier because you dont have to deal with a LOC or any of the BS. Plus a HU with a strong set out pre-outs is always nice.
