well im selling my L5s on monday to a friend for 270 and i cant decide what to get next. Kevin said he would sell me 2 12inch RD studios for 210 shipped but i would still need a box thats one idea or should i buy 2 12inch Kicker CVRs and then have somebody on here build me a box for 150 or should i buy 2 12inch Kicker CVRs that are already in a ported box from CC. i cant decide what to do and im looking for SQL or SPL and the amp im using is a Hifoinics Zeus 600x1 300x2

even though i haven't heard the studio series, i have a good feeling they will sound way better than the kicker subs.

do it. that box looks half way decent btw. i am not a fan of prefab so don't expect me to say good things about them.

x2^^. and even if you would go with the cvr's, they wont get louder then the l5 either. go with the rds', get away from that kicker cra_p imo. then you can change your name!j/p

and that box doesn't look the nicest, get one made. nice little saying in the the box description though:
"This makes our boxes a little more expensive but you truly do get what you pay for"

makes me want to buy prefab^^.

so u think i should go for the studios over the CVRs and put them in that box. thats what i was leaning towards but when i heard this kids subs at school he has the CVRs form CC and they slammed but maybe because they were in a Jeep Liberty idk.

here's the thing. the prefab boxes are usually tuned high. the studio series subs are more sq oriented i believe. putting those in a high tuned box would be wasting the sq imo. get a box made man. please. don't go cheap on the box cause it either makes or breaks the sound quality of the subs.

i wont have enough money to get a box made i will only have a 90 left cause my mom wont let me spend more then 300 on everything so i mean unless i can get a box made for 90 shipped i have nothing else to do.

save a little more then have someone here make you a box. logan could probably do a box for not much more than $90 shipped, from what i've seen of his quotes.

why don't you save up some of your allowance then. don't tell your mom how much the box is going to cost you.

Tell your mom that you are buying the subs brand new online and the cases where the sub did not work upon reciving were taken care of with a replacement.

if you can get the subs bnib for $120 a pair, get them. that's really cheap and even online tuff to beat. as for box, get hold of bj (fishercustoms), phil (woodlawn), or logan.

don't get the cvr's. i've had them in my car and they aren't that great. convice your mom that kevin is a good guy and he doesn't sell anything that don't work. tell your mom only reason the sub you want can't be bought at the stores is cause the company is new.

kevin has many references. you will wnat to change your subs quick if you get the cvr's. trust me. unless you are happy with mediocre sound.

L5 Bangin, I don't have many soources around here but I do alot of wood work. I've built boxes for my friends around here for $50 even just because i enjoy doing it. If all else fails, I'll show you some pics of my work and i could do it for $80 shipped. I know how it feels to be just a little short and having no more options.
