Figured I would start the thread now. I am still waiting on the 12" Alpha, but everything else is here and ready to be installed. This way I will have time to answer any questions or hear any comments before I get started with everything.

Vehicle: 2000 V6 Mustang

This will be the setup:
HU: Pioneer DEH-p880prs
Amps: Sundown SAX-100.2 and SAZ-1500D
Subwoofer: RD Audio 12" Alpha
Components: Cadence 6.5" CVL's
Wiring: Kicker dual amplifier 1/0 gauge wiring kit.

I will start posting pictures of the stuff I have soon. There will be some tonight.

I love it. Amazing features, and so much fun to use. Not to mention in person it looks amazing. I will put some pictures of it up for you tonight.

Some people have problems with engine noise coming through on it thought. And that is a very common problem with Pioneer HU's. But with a good install most of those problems can be fixed.

And here is the pictures of the Enclosure/Amps/Crossovers all mounted. The box is 1.8 cubic feet tuned to 38hz.

Thats a very good price. Also, ask if you get the warranty. That would be good to have in case you are getting some engine noise and want Pioneer to fix it so you don't have to.

Yes, it is a very common problem with Pioneer HU's. But the good news is, with a good install it CAN be fixed!!!

I highly doubt it is because you are running the RCA cables near the power wire. That has never been the case for me, but some people seem to think that is the problem. But here is a very good thread to help you out.

Grounding the RCA's and finding a new factory ground worked for me. Also, make sure the RCA's are shielded and most likely it will work. Good luck.

the way the ground fuse blows in the unit in the first place is because people dont understand that the unit needs to be off before you start plugging in RCAs and stuff.

That is true Mat, but that isn't the only way. Mine was in and working fine for about a month, then all of a sudden I was getting engine whine in my speakers. I am not sure what caused it all of a sudden, but it was easy enough to fix.

that is strange just blowing of of nowhere after it was fine. i forgot to mention it also depends on the type of grounding system used in the amp.

I see that a lot on pioneer HUs..... it's the reason I no longer recommend them to people.

Yeah, we are talking to a couple of people and trying to get it all worked out. I know a good amount about car audio, but my webmaster skills aren't quite all there lol.

And I ordered some more wiring last night. Found a great deal, that I will be willing to share with you guys if my order goes well.

You can email me at Ben@low-hz.com to talk this over. Just so we can keep this thread on topic.
