I understand the 780 is a much nicer model, but let's disregard how it looks(the screen and picture/short movie ability) and compare a few things real quick
SQ on both model, is the 780 better and is it really going to be noticeable?
5 volt vs 4 volt preamp outputs, is it that much of a difference?
7 band vs 16 band graphic EQ, is it really worth it to upgrade just for this, or would it be a better idea to go with the 690 and save up a bit to buy an actual EQ?

honestly the sq is about the same. of course the 980 has more eq and some other features. i really like my 690ub. well the face don't look all hi tech but it has the usb feature which i love. i have a 4gb usb flash drive with alot of songs and i can access it with this hu.
recently i got the xm radio unit for this hu and i love that too. hell i love everything about this unit. lol.
LOL.. the stock Speakers in a 03 camry are good...I coulda bought the subs but i bought a table saw..I still am waiting for the amps to arrive, dont need the subs yet
yea my friend, has a civic which is good (For me to pooop on), but he had Sony speakers all in it and my stock speakers were louder...He then got pioneer speakers and mine was still louder lol...It also had to do with the pioneer 780 mp HU i have...Eva since the screen went dark and the settings got reset the sound has gone down, still betta then his car tho lol
