this is the first system ive ever had ever, its in a 2000 vw passat, i have a JL 10W7 in a ported box, i also have an infinity reference 611a amp...i know the amp is on the cheaper end...i was told it would do...i cant seem to get the perfect setup...i like loud tight bass, not distorion...i have a 1000Watt wiring kit..overkill...i cant figure out the settings, it sounds good on certain songs and sub par on other...i spent about 800 on the system...rip off? i listen to rap and alt with a lot of bass to it. do i have to change the amp settings every time?...HELP!!!! P.S. i have no more money to spend on this stuff so tweaks are needed!

If you say it is sounding like poo, you mite be clipping, set your gain rite and turn bass boost off

The speaker has a Impedance level for it to be wired correctly

You can't take a 4 ohm stable sub and load it to a amp at 1ohm or 2 ohm

I don't see how that w7 is 1.5 stable and that amp is only 2 and 4 ohms...Who wired it for you

But i've seen a w7 final load impedance to be 3 ohms but i don't really know how your is wired
