Sorry if thise posts twice. I tried to post it a couple of hours ago, and it didn't show up. I have not installed an amplifier or speakers since the 80's so forgive my ignorance. I have ADS 346 component speakers, Pioneer Premiere 750 HU, and ADS pq10 amplifier. I don't have the manual for the amp. I drive an 03 Dodge Ram QC. I am going to install the speakers in the front off of the amp. The rear speakers are going to run off of the HU. In the front components, will there be a significant difference in sound if I surface mount the tweeters, as opposed to flush mount? Which is better? Do I need to make any adjustments for Ohms. I don't know how many Ohms the Amp is, and there is no adjustment for it. Thank You in advance. I don't have the money to hire an installer. I have the sub temporarily covered. I got a KSC-WD250 Kenwood 10inch sub with built in 200 watt amp. The sub/amp should be okay for me. I don't really turn up the sound, and don't like inflated bass levels. Also, does listening to AM talk radio do anything bad to a system, being there is so much static. Thank You in advance!
Excellent equipment minus the Kenwood subwoofer/amplifier.
I like the look of flush mount much more, it will not affect the sound as long as it is facing same direction and at same place.
I believe that amp is 2x80w @ 4ohm, and your speakers are single 4 ohm so you're fine as far as impedance.
Amplifying the fronts and running rears off the deck is also a great idea. If you have heard that Kenwood sub and are happy with it, then great, otherwise I think you will be quiet disappointed in how fast those speakers leave that sub behind.
AM Radio is fine, just sounds like crap compared to many cd's, and even FM radio.
