Some of the voice coil heat that can't exit the rear of the driver is trapped under the dustcap. Perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.

Is your gain set correctly? If not you're probably clipping the subs. If it is set right, then it's probably just normal.

yea its set right. im only givin them 300rms each
i set it so i can turn it up to 30 on my HU but i usually turn it to about 30-35, it gets louder when i turn it up but stops gettin loud after 35 so thats when it clips prolly

im sure its fine.Im giving each of my SD2.5's 500rms and thats wut there rated for and it would take alot more then that to blow them and mine get warm. I woulnt worry about it. Plus you can hear and just tell when a sub is pushing itself to hard. When you give them too much power u can smell it to and the dust cap gets hot but i wouldnt think a little warm would be a problem

plus i got a SD2 that im giving 500rms instead of the reccomended 300 and nothing has happened to it. I have pused it a little to far befor and you can smell it and the dustcap gets hot.

Ur Sd2.5's are fine
