I just had a sub and amp as well as a new HU installed yesterday, but I took the HU back because I didn't like it and I ended up buying a new Alpine from a different dealer and plugged it all in myself. Unforunately, the radio only works. The CD only plays bass from my sub and nothing is output from the speakers. I have an 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ the Infinity Gold system. I was told to connect the black ground to the black amp connector wire that's tucked behind the HU and the blue remote wire from the sub amp to the blue/white on the adaptor harness.
Alright. So if you have the adaptor harness you'll need to tie in your blue remote wire from your amp, the blue antenna wire from the harness itself AND the blue/white wire all together. When you're done, you should have 4 wires going into the same point. 2 of those will be the blue wire from your harness.
Does that make sense? It's kind of hard to explain but it's really not hard to do.
