hey guys, what do i need to get set up to well get free channels. can you please provide links and maybe a little description, i tried looking threw this forum but its full of spam. also i would like to keep things pretty cheap if possible
Buy a Viewsat Ultra (about $165) receiver from www.totalfta.com and start READING for about 20 hours..then u will have a good newbie grasp and should be able to install and align the dish on the roof, run the cables, setup 1-2 receivers in the house, and watch TV..
Thanks to PRMNJ and you that most of my issues with PANSAT 3500 are solved. I have a question about the image you had uploaded earlier. Currently I have same LNBs as shown in the picture but I have one cable running from Dual LNB (61.5)and another from Twin LNB (119)and they are connected to a switch. Now I was planning to connect in the same fashion as shown in the picture so that I can get channels from 110 which I don't get right now. There are two outputs on the Twin in the picture, one is going to 3500 and other is going to legacy 4700. 3500 should be connected to the output shown in picture or it doesn't matter, it can connected to the output where legacy 4700 is connected to ? Please let me know. Please note I am not trying to connect two recievers. I have only one reciever (3500SD) Thanks in advance
If U use the Dish Pro PLUS (DPP) Twin LNB in pic above U will NEED a 2nd receiver (DN) to power that DPP Twin LNB..and use the same outputs as shown above..U must do as the pic shows above, except sub your 61.5 for the 148 and use NO switches...
LK, Thanks for the response. LK, I don't need a 2nd receiver and I don't have one. I want to get channels from 110 , right now I only get 119 and 61.5. Currently I have the above LNBs but not connected as shown in the above picture, instead I have one output coming from Twin and one output from Dual and they are connected to a Switch. Also I tried connecting another cable to the 110 output on the LNB and connected to the switch but I still didn't get any 110 channels. What should I do to get 110 channels, connect in above fashion shown in the picture ? if yes will it power the LNBs ? Please advice.
I believe u probably have a Dish Pro Twin LNB now, NOT a Dish Pro PLUS...read the logo on that LNB again..if U have the DPP LNB U will need a 2nd receiver or power inverter to power the DPP LNB..
LK, You are right, I have a Dish Pro Twin (119)and Dish Pro Plus Dual (61.5). Thanks for making me understand what I have. Now how do I connect these to get 110 channels, please let me know. Thanks for your patience.
