I have a WS55807 that started the bow-tie problem, and the wife and I kept bumping it on the side to "fix" it for about a month. This weekend my wife told me she heard a small "pop" and the tv turned off. (no electronic smell) Currently the TV will turn on for about 2 seconds and back off.
So I found this forum, pulled the board and sure enought there was about 6 bad solder joints on the convergance chips. I checked the fuses and 04 was bad so I replaced it. Hopeing for the best I plugged everything back in..
Still only stays on for about 2 seconds. Should my next step be to replace the convergance chips? Should I check something else first?
