well alot of higher end speakers love alot of power you may want to look into rainbow slc 265 and also the rainbow germaniums which need 150-200rms each. your in the UK and they are made in germany so they might be easy to find. what brands do you have access to?

any of the listed would be nice. i would probly choose the dls then the rainbow then the apline type x then dimond and the PG's if you want to keep it cheap, they are still good speakers

but i would highly suggest getting an amp that does more power something in the 125-150rms range

the only speakers on that list i would suggest running 75 or less to are the PG's

or 75 on the rainbows wouldnt be bad, but i have 150 on mine. with 75 they just wont get as loud. i wouldnt run any of the other speakers i listed without more power. i know the type x are rated at 75 but i ran 75 to a pair of type R and they just didnt sound very good compared to when i put 125 on them

i didnt see those on that site i dont know how i missed them. anyway they are great speakers they will probly be my next set actually. anyway iv talked to a few people who are dealers or know about about them and it will take anywhere from 150-200rms so just look for an amp that fits into that. i wouldnt worry about over powering them you just need to set the gain correctly and make sure they are getting a clear signal. you should also be able to tell by ear when the speaker is stressed and that will let you know to turn it down.

i am assuming that they are 4 ohm speakers? so its a 2 or 8 ohm i need to run them at? and where would i find the target voltage for them?

they are single 4ohm so the amp will see a 4ohm load if its one speaker per channel. or in this case the speaker+tweet+xover per channel is still a 4ohm load on the amp. subwoofertools.com has a gain setting tutorial, the best way IMO is to set it by ear. just put it on your fav song and to the loudest youd listen at and listen to see if the music is distorting or if everything sounds natural.
