Boom, i remade this box and ACTUALLY tuned it this time! 33HZ, I just hope it fill fit in my trunk. Let me know your thoughts. The top needs screwed down, and caulked around the top piece, then its done. Did someone on here say that menards sells carpet to carpet sub boxes with? Let me know, I think im gonna carpet it as well.

very nice work. just curious, why isnt all 4 walls of the port painted? and just a tip... you only need screws every 5-6 inches. and stay away from edges about 3 inches.

let us know if it sounds as good as it looks!

Yeah, way too many screws. Most people think more screws = stronger, wrong. In most cases it actually makes it weaker.

Is that 3/4 mdf or 1"?

Yea on that side there, the drill bit broke off in the hole, so i had to make another hole. Then, the screws kept going in crooked, so i had to find a new bit, but some of those holes dont have screws in them. I plan on sealing them off though.

Whats the dimensions of that box? Mind if i get the plans? My friend wont get off my @ss about giving him the box plans for his type R's.. hit me up on AIM - D92Stealth

How does it sound:-)

wood filler should fill those nicly, are the screws flushed? You can put a lil filler over them to make them vanish :-)

very nicely done. the box looks clean.

cut some strips of mdf and get rid of the corners for better airflow.

i would suggest u double baffle the front & if u can put @ least 1 brace top to bottom & front baffle to back wall - trust me it makes ALOT of difference since u get way more output from it .....

36"x14.5"x23" Tuned to 33HZ. 3/4" MDF. I countersank the heads of the screws, so they rest just below the surface of the wood. Thanks for your comments guys!
