I was just wondering if anyone might wanna trade a 1500-2500wrms @ 1ohm amp for my 2 MB Quart amps(RAA1000 and RAA2400) I could throw in a lil bit of cash too.
Do you know whats wrong with it? And Isaac i dont know if you remember me but we used to talk about the g4s alot a couple years ago. You talked me into buying one,I got a 225g4 and its one of the best amps ive ever heard.
It had signal overload. I was testing some bass last year and the rear channel from HU had some "dirty" signal. I think the est repair was around $100. I paid over $500 for it. Since I have another 275 G4, I didn't see the need to get it fixed. The amp is massive in size though, probably over 20" long. I remember seeing people paying over $300 for the defective 275G4s on ebay last year. I'm looking to trade for a class D amp.
In Canada, there are no Orion repair depos, another reason why it wasn't repaired. If you're close to them, you can get it fixed at a good price. Then you'll have one of the best amp from the old school.
Hmmm I really love the g4s but i dont really wanna mess with getting it repaired. Do you have any other old orions? Maybe some of the xtr series? Or any old us amps,ppi?
Nah, I only have Zapco 750w x 2, Orion 250G4 x 2, 275G4 (one working, one defective), Xtant 4 channel, MTX, Audiobahn 8002A, PPI PC 125w x 2, and finally PPI 600 White art series amp. I bought 2 275G4 cause I was going to drive each sub with it's own amp. That was the original plan, but later realized I didn't have much space in the trunk.
