What amp should I run for this application?

Post Number: 596 Registered: Nov-06 | I have one 15" JL AAUDIO W3v2, which is rated at 500 watts RMS, and one 15" JL AUDIO W3v1, which is rated at 400 watts RMS. They are both dual 4 ohm subs. They will be in a ported box around 3 cu.ft. per sub. What would be the best wattage to go with for the two, 800-1000? What would be the best amp choice? I was thinking of a Crossfire VR600D or possibly the VR1000D. The 600D is rated at over 900 watts RMS @1ohm at 14 volts. I would like to run at 1 ohm but if it would be better at 4 ohms, because of factory electrical system, than let me know what amp would be good fot the 4 ohm operation. I am thinking of getting a HO alt but not sure which car it will go in. I will also be using a PG TBASSCUBE in this system. Any suggestions? I know the two subs are different but only cosmetically and their power handleing abilities. Thanks for your help/opinions! |
