Sony h/u, switch to radio and amp turns off...

I have a Sony CDXMP40 and have installed an Infinity Sub and amp.
Everything is wired correctly, but when I switch th h/u from CD to radio, or just on to radio the amp turns off, and won't turn on...why?
Any help will be rewarded
