Silver Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 374 Registered: Mar-06 | ehh actually forget the body kit and the rims, they look cool anyways and roads and winters in the northeastern US are hell on any car with decent rims or a body kit |
Silver Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 379 Registered: Mar-06 | just a random fact, my brother was looking at sti's and evo mr's....found out that for a 18-19 year old, theyre theee most expensive cars to insure in the US. More expensive than bentleys and ferraris believe it or not, bc no one drives those, not to mention, any 18 year old behind the wheel of a 300 some hp awd car....prrrrobably isnt going to go the speed limit.... |

Silver Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 381 Registered: Mar-06 | yea same here, im 17 and my parents pay for my insurance and my car, just not gas. Like 11 months ago, I got a two point ticket for turning right on red, and I dont even think my insurance agent knows about it, yet its still like 1500 bucks a half to insure me on a Cherokee. Other than that, my record is clean, but still 1500 is a ton of cash. Find out if youre insured on your parents cars too, bc if youre only driving your car, you might get a discount. I get like the "good student" discount which is 400 a year cheaper, but my dad insures me on my moms envoy, her eclipse, my brothers car, and his truck....so that might be a factor, idk... |
Silver Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 382 Registered: Mar-06 | btw, idk if you pay for your gas, but it suckkkks in jeeps, mine seriously never gets above 15 or 16. Idk your price range, but check out some of the "non-XL" envoys and cars called Buick Rainiers (theyre just like envoys, and yes, theyre buicks, but theyre sick) theyre like the cadillac envoy pretty much. SOooo classy |
Gold Member Username: Nyyfan13Fi SSD USA Post Number: 4493 Registered: Jul-06 | i got real lucky...my parents pay for car, insurance, and gas...i pay for what all i want for it... i.e., the system, rims, tint, etc |

Gold Member Username: Th3pwn3rPost Number:... Post Number: 1643 Registered: Jul-06 | 300 Extra horsepower from just a turbo kit, now that's impressive. That would require a monster turbo and a bigger turbo(s)=More Turbo lag, which would mean less off the line.So you mean to tell me he got all that extra power from that kit alone? That's double the engines stock HP.To take the most advantage of an upgraded turbo kit an aftermarket ECU is a necessity to adjust fuel maps/ratios.Get some pictures Dru,I'd really like to see that setup. |

Silver Member Username: Mash4kashLafayette, LA Post Number: 102 Registered: Feb-06 | what year Impala? I bought mine off ebay |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2343 Registered: Sep-04 | You have 4 totaly different cars. Chevy Impala SS - American Muscle I guess? Jeep - SUV < best for the sound system and a lot of room WRX - Japanese Import tuner < if you want fast this one is for you Caddy - Just good ole luxury, smooth drive. You need to look into what you want most, speed (american or japanese stick or automatic) or suv (lots of room) or do you want a really smooth luxury ride. I pick the WRX, because I already have a SUV |
Silver Member Username: Mash4kashLafayette, LA Post Number: 103 Registered: Feb-06 | I respect your choice but can u explain why would u pick a wrx over an Impala SS? |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2344 Registered: Sep-04 | Style, handling, H4 motor. and I never considered a impala SS. If I had a list, the impala SS would of never been on my list. |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2345 Registered: Sep-04 | Oh, and I'm talking about the new impala SS's. I do like the 95ish impala SS's, don't get me wrong there. But if your talking about the new ones, no. The 95ish years, then yes I will consider those. |
