Saturday, March 31, 2007 - 05:58 GMT I took a break from this forum for a while but now that Im back everyone is droppin their subs and gettin FI subs. Im sure they pound but are the BTLs as good as Treo SSX's? I noticed that the magnets are not as big as Treos. Not saying that that makes the sub but thats something that I always look for.

Saturday, March 31, 2007 - 06:17 GMT Yea I really want to hear one. Personally I cant judge them if I havn't heard them. I personally would get an SSX though because I live in Omaha and the factory is right down the street. I am really impressed with the DD9515

Saturday, March 31, 2007 - 08:00 GMT you live in lincoln quinten, what school you go to? overall i personally think that the ssx would be a better woofer just judging from the specs but I think the BTL edges it out in the bang for your buck.

Saturday, March 31, 2007 - 21:26 GMT SSX is more SQL than the BTL. SSX has a 4 inch voicecoil compared to 3 (On the 15) and integrated tinsel leads for lower distortion, but the BTL costs 400 compared to 800. So take your pick. The SSX is probably a better all around driver, but for the money it's up to you.

Saturday, March 31, 2007 - 23:33 GMT I'd say a BTL will get louder watt for watt, but if you're only gonna run 1000-1500 watts just go with the the BL. I have a SSX on 1500 watts and it gets pretty loud and has very nice lows. I can imagine the output would be much greater if i have 3000 watts to throw at it... I assume it's the same with the BTL.

Saturday, March 31, 2007 - 23:37 GMT thats tight, i go to omaha north quinten. yea, im not gonna go get any ssx's any time soon haha. those things are expensive but they are INSANELY LOUD. i have heard that they are more towards spl instead of sql. the SSI is the sq flagship of treo i think.
