Bronze Member Username: SplsqChesterland , Ohio USA Post Number: 94 Registered: Mar-07 | ok yea thats wierd but what i dont get is i have my new amp hooked up a hifonics amp and the people at cc tuned so it sounds nice but what i dont get is my old amp made the subs louder and it was a Sony Xplod amp and best buy tuned so is it weird that the hifonics sounds weaker then the sony? |
Silver Member Username: Volfenhagking1600I WILL be 15 Wangin Post Number: 457 Registered: Oct-06 | whats the rms on both amps? |
Silver Member Username: Volfenhagking1600I WILL be 15 Wangin Post Number: 458 Registered: Oct-06 | also, what are you pushin with that amp (subs) |
Bronze Member Username: SplsqChesterland , Ohio USA Post Number: 95 Registered: Mar-07 | well they sony only give lile 150 watts RMS and the hifonics gives like 400 and the subs are 2 12inch Kicker L5s |

Bronze Member Username: SplsqChesterland , Ohio USA Post Number: 96 Registered: Mar-07 | there 2ohms subs and there not wired wrong because they work and hit nice and hard but its just wierd that the sony made them hit harder then the hifonics. |
Silver Member Username: Adam_s15 TC9 Hybrid, RE MT Softparts Post Number: 935 Registered: Aug-04 | How is the gain set?? |
Gold Member Username: Naledge503Http://com4.runboard.c... Post Number: 1228 Registered: Jun-06 | These are the specs on your amp, 150 Watts RMS x 2 @ 4 Ohms 300 Watts RMS x 2 @ 2 Ohms 600 Watts RMS x 1 @ 4 Ohms You have dual 2 ohm subs. The only wiring option you have with that amp is to run each sub to its own channel at a 4 ohm load. And as you can see both subs are seeing about 150 watts rms. Given efficiency and hifonics is a little overrated, I would say you are seeing about 100wrms each. |
Bronze Member Username: SplsqChesterland , Ohio USA Post Number: 97 Registered: Mar-07 | no way im not giving them only 100 watts cause its not like there not moving but i mean the subs are really loud i mean REALLY LOUD!!!! i just want to no how to change everything. |
Bronze Member Username: SplsqChesterland , Ohio USA Post Number: 98 Registered: Mar-07 | and how do i bridge the amp or can i |
Silver Member Username: JonespPost Number: 202 Registered: Sep-05 | dude shut up its simple that you lying about something, have no clue what your talking about or you have super hearing. there is no way 2 l5 with 200 rms any kind of way loud. it probally sound like someone is kicking the side of your car |
Silver Member Username: Adam_s15 TC9 Hybrid, RE MT Softparts Post Number: 941 Registered: Aug-04 | Yeah this is ridiculous. Is the bass too loud or too quiet. I have no idea what you are talking about anymore. |
Bronze Member Username: SplsqChesterland , Ohio USA Post Number: 99 Registered: Mar-07 | its not loud enough but never mind i got everything fixed and set up nice. took it up to Circuit City and they tuned it. thanks for ur help. |

Gold Member Username: Th3pwn3rPost Number:... Post Number: 1605 Registered: Jul-06 | They probably maxed out his gain He's also probably wondering what that funny smell is. |
Bronze Member Username: SplsqChesterland , Ohio USA Post Number: 100 Registered: Mar-07 | they do a great job and like them when they install stuff but man do there subs and amps cost alot of money. |
Silver Member Username: Adam_s15 TC9 Hybrid, RE MT Softparts Post Number: 946 Registered: Aug-04 | They don't always do a great job. I have been there many times and have had conversations with the people there and they have no idea about how to wire subs differently and ABSOLUTELY nothing about ported boxes. JMO but I would rather learn it and do it myself. |

Silver Member Username: SplsqChesterland , Ohio USA Post Number: 101 Registered: Mar-07 | ok i will. I think im going to get another hifonics amp to power each sub with its own amp. |
