Sunday, March 11, 2007 - 23:13 GMT trying to put together a home theater system w/ limited funds. Let me say i know little aboit speakers and stereo stuff.. I came across a pair of huge floor speakers that looked new at a tag sale. I paid 30 bux for the pair..They're made by Advent and and say Maestro on the back Could somebody give me the low down on the quality of these? They looked pretty substantial that's why i bought them

Monday, March 12, 2007 - 00:41 GMT I meant if all else fails, you can buy new woofers and put them in, but from your "nada" remark I would just keep it simple and find a friend with a receiver to test them for you.

Monday, March 12, 2007 - 03:10 GMT they're not so bad. I had the mini's about 20 years ago. You're not going to get any "Golden Ear" awards with them, they'll work.

Tuesday, March 13, 2007 - 18:09 GMT Not bad. There are a lot worse speakers on the current market. Not audiophile quality, but not junk either.
