The ICC Cricket World Cup champions would receive $2.24 million in prize money while the runners-up would get $one million from the total pool of $five million and one thousand.
The losing semi finalists would get $450,000 each, according to the International Cricket Council's Media and Communications manager, Brian Murgatroyd.

Winners: 2.24 million. Runners-up: One million. Losing semi-finalists: 450,000 each. Placing: 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th - 200,000, 150,000, 100,000 and 50,000 respectively. Winners of matches in Group stage: 10,000. Losers of matches in Group stage: 5,000.
