Bronze Member Username: BjaltAtlanta, GA USA Post Number: 86 Registered: Apr-06 | You probably messed up the table structure on your hard drive. It happens all the time when peoples power goes out. That drive probably won't even be recognized now by the motherboard. If you can boot from a floppy or CD you could try to run checkdisk in dos. If that does not work then you will probably have to recover the hard drive using a program like R-studio. Your data and files are still there. You just have to use a utility (R-Studio) to get them off. |

(on board modem was fried and locked up onboard vid card so no Pic. was trying to get a tech down to replace it thru warranty) 2. MrPig an Email was shipped to you with solutions on how you can get your internet up and running again. (radio wasnt working for high speed WIFI wireless) |

Select 1 for operating system and type your admin password and hit enter(default password is blank) 3-At the c:\> type "fixboot" and hit enter. 4-At the c:\> type "fixmbr" and hit enter. 5-at the c:\> type "chkdsk /r" and hit enter. It will run from 15-30 minutes. 6-Type exit and reboot normally. If this doesn't work boot to the CD again and try "repair installation". Good luck |

Silver Member Username: DoreenakadjPost Number: 267 Registered: Dec-06 | cartier did you KICK the sh!t out of the PC ? .. first open it up and reinstall the ram card .. make sure its in right . then on the back of your Pc at the top there is a button ... push it ... it will shut the power off the PC .. turn it back on and restart your computer as usual .. if the blue screen is there press (last known configuration ) dont tuoch anything after that ... wait and see if it reboots and windows startes up .. if it doesn't load into windows then let me know ok |

Silver Member Username: Cartier1Post Number: 207 Registered: Feb-07 | doreen sweet heart i did fix the rebooting prob and i just figure out that the windows were very damaged and it needs to be reinstalled which i did and everything is fine thanx lot . for the the record . it's compaq very new just had it like a year ago . and tha's not the only one i have guysss. i have 2 sophisticated ones the sony with 17" has a cam built in it and with wireless processor , i can use the internet without even paying for it .cuz lot of copmpany's near my home and they use wireless sooo u know what i mean . just that one is needed for flashing my boxs. im giving away 2 dells if anyone is interessted. i think satscanner is dating to get one and mrpig . so let me know doreen and jen i would like to take you for dinner . choose the place let me know . i dont mind having ryerson , satscanner and mrpig invited i will pay your bill but stay in an other table . ok  |
