Picture quality certainly is far superior to the Pansat, no problems to speak of yet.

What else do we have here? Oh yes!! A very nice channel listing guide. I used to have problems trying to get the Guide to work for the old Pansat, this one works very nicely! Scrolling up and down, all the info for every channel is there with descriptions and start times! So far..so good!

I believe the 2500 gives you same channels as your beloved ultra...

True, the channels obviously will stay the same but then again, all cars will take you from A to B so why bother ever buying a new car? Just as long as it takes you where you need to go?
In this case, the 2500 wasn't always stable. So it'll be interesting to see what I get out of the Ultra. But I like it already.

And let's not forget the support. Everytime BL comes out with a bin it takes him two and three ties to fix the problem while viewsat normally (yes, they've had their problems), but normally have better support.

i have a clone 2700 actually 2, i finally sold one, and a vs ultra. man what a difference. the quality of the vs is so much better. judging from the clone but if the clones are a copy of the originals....
pansat genuine or clones maybe cheaper, and that is cheaper in all the senses. as a newbie...word to other newbies...get a stb that is a little more $ but atleast you'll enjoy it. it's a pain in the but to wait for a bin...days...weeks. then again...i can only speak with few experience...i've only tested with 3 models, the pansat 2700n2 clone, the vs ultra and vs extreme. with each day..i luv the vs!!! sorry pansat!!! lol

VS is the best, no doubt, and sell your 2500s if you can (I did!) but the 2700 clone should be good for a while yet :-)

I bought a vs ultra yesterday and compare it with my cw600sp. vs ultra I had it up and running in less than 5 mins; this usb thing works nicely.
As far as the picture quality; I like my cw600sp better, plus it has better remote control functions. I like both; vs ultra for the usb and excellent hardware and also great support. I also like cw600sp for it's picture quality and easy operating.

You can use a platinum remote with your ultra. I like that one better. Still hanging on to my 2500. I let a friend borrow it so it'll still be used as long as BL supports it.
