So I bought 2 10" Lanzar Max very cheap subs. And just as I was walking out the door the guy at the pawnshop said if you need a amp to run those subs I have some in the back room. He went in the back room and come out with some cheap Audiobahn amps and some Power Acoustik amps. Then he said there is one more I think its a sundown 1500 or something like that. The guy at the pawnshop said its max power is 1500 watts so you might get 750-800watts out of these amp he said it must be a cheaper or entry level amp because he never heard of them but I'll take $150 for it I said. sold. |

Post Number: 4599 Registered: Mar-04 | I have seen some RETARDED people working at *some* pawn shops...I went to one a few years ago and they had a Kicker XS100 for $175...I was stunned, but didnt have the $ to get it. The same place had an audiobahn "1200w" for $250...lol. *Disclaimer* I WORK AT A PAWN SHOP/AUDIO SHOP! (So not ALL people at pawn shops are retards ) You get lucky from time to time and find someone that actually knows whats going on in the audio world. What is really sad is that there is a "good" audio shop in our town that carries a few mainstream brands...Their "Expert Box Cutter" charges ~$220 for a single 12" ported box and usually uses ~5-7sq inches of port per cuft. His boxes sound decent at low volume but at slightly loud volume they sound like a fVckn gym-whistle. Oh...and Joey, hell of a deal you got man....congrads! |
