thanks Nalin i read the link but still dont realy understand my problem is it the loader im using???cause i dont think i need null modem with my fortec or do i???
i never had problems when i had windows 98 maybe its xp???

If your cable worked with 98 and the only thing you changed was the computer, then its a driver or XP system resource issue. Check your system log.

Also, it doesn't hurt to try a different loader. I've found some loaders to work better than others.
