Short circuit

How would i find a short circuit in my head unit wiring? I have a multimeter if that makes it easier. It causes the fuse to blow for my illumination lights. My car is a 1995 Toyota Corolla

pull out the wiring harness and look at all the wires and see if anyone them are exposed, if so tape them up with electrical tape
