Does it actually work by putting in the bin from your pc to the stick then putting the stick in the viewsat ultra slot and programming it that way. I have the viewsat platinum right now and the serial port on my computer is giving me problems initializing, so i cant update my bin at the moment. Does anyone know the steps to update the bin on a viewsat ultra? And is it worth buying to have as a reciever? If so, where is the best place to buy a viewsat ultra? Thanks! Chinny |

Gold Member Username: PrfrmnjPost Number: 2072 Registered: Oct-05 | Chinny - Yes it works great with the USB Stick. The update is easy. As you already stated, you save the pgm file to the stick. Plug the stick into the Ultra and then go to the menu to update receiver. You'll need to go and open the file and update. But it is not a difficult process and it's why I'm pretty much giving you the quick down and dirty. |
