I was watching a tape in my VCR when there was a brief power outage in the area I live in. I tried to set it up after the power came back on but the tv screen has only static. The display on the VCR/DVD has 4 dashes (where the time was). I turned it off, unplugged it, tried to set up with and without a tape and a DVD, but I am getting nothing but static. Any suggestions on how I can fix this and set my machine up again? I have satellite tv and I have looked to see if I need to reset the connection, but it is fine. I have no problem with the tv, the reception is fine.
I would say make sure your channel for you tv is the same for the vcr tv and if your sat go through your vcr combo make sure it has the same cannel aslo
