Bronze Member Username: CoolgoosePost Number: 18 Registered: Jun-06 | I have a dish where I am getting 121W international channeles. I have an 18" dish where I am getting 110W. Which dish would be a better choice to get the 119W. |
Silver Member Username: TapemanPost Number: 576 Registered: Oct-06 | If you got 30 inch dish you can get all 3 Sats Requirements 3 LNBs 1- linear for 121 Twin LNB or 2 circular LNBs to get 110/119 |
Bronze Member Username: CoolgoosePost Number: 19 Registered: Jun-06 | So would I be required to change the angle of the dish which is currently at 121. |
Silver Member Username: TapemanPost Number: 577 Registered: Oct-06 | Oops I forgot Correction Requirements 3 LNBs 1- linear for 121 Twin LNB or 2 circular LNBs to get 110/119 1- 4-input DISEqC switch you'll use only 3-input |
Silver Member Username: LroyPost Number: 183 Registered: Aug-06 | You will have to reallign the dish to get the three sats. |
Silver Member Username: TapemanPost Number: 578 Registered: Oct-06 | No keep the angle same But it will require cleaver mounting of the LNBs If I were you get a DN Twin LNBs it will only be 2 wires to DISEqC switch Check "King's corner" post #138 by King Tapeman https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-video/322149.html |
Gold Member Username: PrfrmnjPost Number: 2055 Registered: Oct-05 | Even easier would be to get a DishProPlus LNB and you will need no switches since the DishProPlus will get you 110 & 119 and 121 will go into the imput of the DishProPlus Antena setup will be: LNB Type = DishPro or OSC-DP DISEqC - 119 = 1 / 110 = 2 / 121 = 3 Depending the receiver you use you may need to leave a DN receiver hooked up unless you want to run a DP44 switch which brings a power insert. |
Bronze Member Username: CoolgoosePost Number: 20 Registered: Jun-06 | Thnaks guys. So if I use DishProPlus LNB I dont have to worry whether its linear or circular. Because as per King's post 121 requires linear LNB and 110/119 requires circular LNB |
Silver Member Username: Crazy_greekPost Number: 618 Registered: Jul-06 | Hey goose You will still need a linear LNB for Echo 9 @121.oW. Check out King's Corner. |
Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 7756 Registered: Jan-06 | He already has the 121 he stated in first post, which is a linear LNB...so he only needs another dish with a DP twin (and disque switch) or DPP twin LNB (and no switch)....but I highly recommend the DP (Dish Pro)twin and a disque switch versus the DPP (Dish Pro Plus) twin LNB, since another reciver is required to power the DPP LNB.. and either way, either a new replacement 30 inch dish or an additional 18X20 inch dish is required, along with eith the DP or DPP LNB..and if using a 30 inch dish with all 3 LNB's, that Twin (119-110) LNB is going to be almost sitting directly on that 121 LNB (very close fit the 119 and 121)..and I believe a realignment will be necessary..I recommend a 2nd dish instead of the 30 inch dish...or simply buy a used SUPERDISH that already has all 3 110-119-121 LNB's! |

Bronze Member Username: CoolgoosePost Number: 21 Registered: Jun-06 | LK , I also have an 18" dish where I get 110. I wanted to know whether to also get 119, I should use the 18" dish where I get 110 or the big dish(I dont know the size) where I get 121 |
Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 7760 Registered: Jan-06 | Kavin...U are correct and I saw both posts,,,actually I was letting both of U and coolgoose know that he already has a linear LNB since he already receives the 121 as he stated..I was not trying to imply anything negative .. coolgoose..U can just add /tie/clamp another circular dual LNB to the present 110 LNB and make a "poormansdish...then realign that dish VERY slightly and get bothnthe 110 and 119...then your other dish with the 121 U can runcable from it and the poormansdish to a disque switch and catch the 110-119-121 and output the cable FROM the disque to your receiver.. Poormans dish pic below |

Silver Member Username: Crazy_greekPost Number: 625 Registered: Jul-06 | Hey Mr Pig Where do I know you from? I fill like I know you. All you need is a plastic enclosure. They work very well for me the Telephone and Cable Company. Next time you see a Telephone man ask him for one. |
Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 7761 Registered: Jan-06 | Mr Pig...Tupperware works great with a little sealant and a loop of the cable (so it won't run down the cable into the switch) before the tupperware container.. |
