Hi 1.I have a superdish500 and dish 500 2. The satellite configured is 61.5 119 and 105 in that order
3.I bought pansat 3500 SD 4. Connected wall input from dish to Receiver receiver out to input to PANSAT PANSAR out to TV
5. Downloaded BIN files
X_05BL_061024_364eubx_api.bin CH
6. Powered on PANSAT . MENU->SDMemory shows folder Code Backup directory CH Data Backup directory MP3
7. Copied 1) Write the X_05BL_....... file to Code Backup directory in SD Card
2) Write the CH Data BAckup..... file to CH Data Backup directory in SD Card
Confirmed and saved
Next started in menu->installatino->antennea setup
Tried Selected Echo 3, change LNB type to Dish Pro, DiscEqC to #1 (this is because it is my first satellite in dish), Echo7 to DiscEqC to #2 and AMC15 to DiscEqC to #3. saved all these settings. (interestingly I could not find 105 related setting AMC 15 in the lookup list)
Here is I am stuck. What AM I DOING WRONG?
What are the steps that need to be corrected. How do I know bin file is loaded
First of all,you have a dish 500 and a 105 superdish, with what type of lnb's ?Echo 3 is on the wing at 61.5 w by itself ,correct?Your dish setup does'nt make sense first of all.
Thanks for your prompt and quick response, I must also confess that I am newbie. I beleive it is Dual LNB and reason is that I am subscribed with Dishnetwork for Family package and international channels (Hindi). The Supersize DISH is i think called SUPERDISH 500 and then there is small size dish 500
If this doesn't make, HOW Can I find what kind of LNB is there?PLease advise.
DISH guys today configured my system that shows 61.5 , 119 and 105 ALL ALL ALL (FEED)
By reading this forum, I am educating myself and working on my basic understanding.
Intrestingly when I did SD memeory and copied files and when I clicked files it confirm to SAVE ith filename and I gave AAA
When I also did SATELLITE SCANNING by DEFAULT TU/5 is showing
I then picked up 61.5 --- Echostart 3 119 ---- ECHO 7 105 Not showing in list. I went ahead and exited.
I did only cahnged dishtype from standard to DISHPRO and then DIscEsq number to #1 and #2 and #3 in that order.

105 is a linear sat ,your ant settings for this sat amc 2 and standard lnb and freq:10750.echo 7 is your 119w and standard lnb and freq: is 11250,same for echo 3 which is your 61.5w sat.install echo 7 to port one of your diseq switch, amc 2 to port 2 and echo 3 to port 3 of the switch then connect the switch to your receiever,do the ant setup configerations ,which i just gave you and scan each sattelite.to see if you loaded your bin correctly on the menu select system info and the loaded bin id will appear.
After reading your post again, are you connecting your pansat after the echostar receiever, then to tv?Leave the echostar out of the system unless you have seperate cables from dual lnb's.
I finally gathered more information and have better input
YOu were right. I have a Dish 500 and SuperDish 105
I checked sytem INfo
It shows 61.5 119 and 105 satelleite with ALL polarity
DEVICE: DP34 Dual(1) , Dual(2), Dual(3)
LNBF are Dual feed
I have only one cable coming into the house wall outlet.
I just found that have a DISHPRO adapter One end goes to Reciever and other end says to DISHPRO switch LNBF
(This adapter enables non-dishpro receivers to function with DISHPRO switches and LNBFS)
CAn you now advide me what connections should be made
YOU informed that I should not consider DISH receiver at all?
Does that mean, Connect the wall outlet to this adapter, take the out of this adapter and connect to PANSAT? With you help, I think I am closer to finishing this setup.
You have a dp34 switch, which has 4 outputs, first output to your echostar reciever and connect 2nd output to your pansat. This way both receivers will work independatly.then do your ant settings, which we already covered and scan, set your user settings and time zone ,let key's roll and watch tv.
Check your lnb's are dp and not dp legacy both will work with pansat. Is the echostar reciever a legacy ?or do you have dp legacy lnb's ?Wondering why the adapter,or do you mean the switch ?
you have a legacy reciever I take it do as I said and you should be fine,it's late and I'm not think as fast as I should, check in tommorrow and see how you made out, good luck.
Thanks Satscanner. Your observation and inference is right
you are too good.
I checked your above directive first thing in morning. DPswithc34 shows three coaxial wires going to DISH(super) and one out going to my house wall outlet to recevier.
THere are other three ports left opened for connection to receiver.
Now all I need is to get a new coaxial wire and connect one port to PANSAT.
THis would require me sometime I guess as I will have to pull the wire from dish DP34 switch outside into house to pansat.( ( DISH GUYS have only one wire going into the house for all three satellites and only one receiver I have. I wish I had 2 receivers installed in the first place itself)
Since my pansat came with 4x1 DisEqC switch.. Where is it going to be used?.
Is there any way I can use existing setup of DISH( single coax cable going to echostar receiver) and do not have to run new coaxial cable from DP34switch to connect to PANSAT3500 recever. Dp34 switch port that is going to echostart receiver at this time if that can be passed thorough both PANSAT and ECHOSTAR.????
You can run one or the other at a time.Only one receiver connected at a time to your existing one coaxial cable.Run extra coaxial cables for extra recievers and for trouble shooting later on ,you'll be glad you took the extra time to do this later, trust me,it's a on going hobby.
I also need to figure out what I have done wrong with my 2nd lnb I can't get any echo 119 WOrked in the past but once I rebooted everything and new channel list and bin, it doesn;t seem to work. Can anyone tell me what I should do or if I should just start all over! I miss my local stuff which is on 119
subb som : The suggestion to run a second coax to the second receiver is sound and the only solution. You MAY discover that your FTA receiver will be tempramental if the DN supplied receiver is off. This is a power supply problem. It is solved by either keeping your DN receiver on all the time or by giving a separate power supply to your DP34.
So Far things look good with your and Satscanner's suggestion
Here are the steps for reference of any newbie who wants to install pansat3500SD frm scratch
Following is with reference to my setup and help from this forum
A. Buy pansat3500SD B. Download latest bin and copy to Folders as described in manual 3. I did download files on desktop and copied it into the folder using inbuilt card reader Next make connections I have dual LNBS with superdish 105 and single LNB dish500. my satellites configured 61.5 ,119,105
go to lyngsat and find corresponding satellites echo3 for 61.5, echo 7 for 119 and amc2 for 105
power on pansat. When Bin file is loaded and you follow the installation steps as described in manual, pretty much things should work simple.
I have to take kid to bed but I plan to write a step by step doc for reference of a person who wants to install from scratch.
Holy crap, Sh*t Scanner gets the award for being the latest post wh0re. F*ck dude, complete a thought and post, what is the problem with that? Why milk a simple question into 14 posts? But hey, great job on the tupperware suggestion, it is so redneck trailer park, it could work. You know they make outdoor covers for coax connectors, and you don't have to use all the old lady's good tupperware...err, I mean Cool Whip containers.
Hey som To see the Bin File Loaded. In the Installation, stroll down to System Information.
To rename AMC 2 to AMC 15 Antenna setup. Edit/Satellite (press OK) stroll to AMC 2 (Press OK) You can buy the rubber covers for the "F" fittings from Radio Shack.
Hello can somebody tell me that when loading bin# 290t for pansat 2500 clone, why is it that i can only watch bev or of i watch dn i have to reload bin again. I downloaded both bins. I'm sorry if someone alreay had this problem and responed to this situation but i was out of town?Is there something i did wrong?
For the 2500 you can not have both systems anymore due to receiver memory space restrictions, that's why it was splitted into 2 files now, you can only have one or the other.....
what part of this thread don't U understand...the factory reset has nothing to do with NOT having enough receiver memory to write 1 bin for both Dishnet and Bev viewing!....DN and Bev stream commands now have required Pansat1500-2300-2500 bins to use smaller bins, requiring less memory space which contain either DN or Bev commands...If U were to load BOTH the DN and Bev bin, the latest bin would overide the previous bin, just as bins always have done FOREVER!
Its importamnt that U do some basic reading before U post, then u would understand the simplicity of this hobby!
If U paint your house white , then paint black over it, what color would it be?...same thinking applies to FTA!
LK: That was an unnecessarily rude reponse to Bruskie. You should either reply properly or not at all. You must take your meds regularly and you will find many mood fluctuatins in the first few weeks of your medications. Before you start writing back some filth, just remember that there is a lot of people here who will want to do whatever it takes to stop you from being a forum clown till you recover enough and start functioning rationally. I was watching your work where Mr.Pig asked your help to set up his LNBs and you did not succeed for two whole days. That is NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Thanks for understanding my situation Nalin. I have one more question to ask you or anyone that can answer. Because pansat 2500 has not enough memory and that you can only load one bin, i was wondering if i have two 2500 boxes and load in 1 bev and dn in the other joined by a spliter. Do you think that would work instead of buying another fta box?
bruskie, that should work, using IF OUT(assuming the 2500 has that) to connect to other pansat(no splitter needed). also you could use an pre-290 bin and enter keys manually as needed
Hey bruskie You best bet is, go to Radio Shack and buy A/B Switch. Connect A to one receiver for Charlie and the other receiver to B for Bev. And you will be good to go.
I have uploaded some helpfull files all about pansat receiver at DssCommunity today. please feel free to download and I hope they help some of you out. My user name in dsscommunity is Dj (super member)
I am happy that I have got all my answers from your advise. One last thing I could not make working was some international channel( ZEE,or for that case any HINDI ASIAN channel) on 61.5 (Echostar 3).
When I click the channel, it shows scrambled or bad channel. All american and other channels are OK. What should I try so that my documentation is complete. MAny thanks in advance Regards Happyyash
bruskie : I am confirming Albino and Kevins positive reponse - probably the best use you canmake of the 2500a or clones is to use two cheap ones - one for Bev and one for DN
Subb son: Several people including me have found that DN_290T does not give some of the Indian channels, notably ZEETV, ZCINE, SET, SETMX etc. The only solution at present is the use the 289T BIN and accept the incovenience of manual input of keys.
The box PANSAT 3500SD came with SD card. There were already 3 folders. I copied from a friend files installed on his PANSAT3500D 1. ) Write the X_05BL_....... file to Code Backup directory in SD Card Full filename: X_05BL_061024_364eubx_api
2) Write the CH Data BAckup..... file to CH Data Backup directory in SD Card Full file name : CH
Then I powered on , DID SD MEMORY -> doubleclik the BIN file and it loaded TV and equipment rebooted.
Then on using menu from remote ->did antenna installation for 61.5 , 119 and 105 saved channels. Then using parental control , entered keys, nagravision2 and entered the active keys (00 and 01)
Everything work except ZEE and other indian channels. Oh ya.. I also dont get kids channel (Disney and nick)
Request: Please elaborate on any steps regarding DN_290T and 289T
Should I download any new files on SD card and redo the settings? I am trying to educate myself frmo this forum and google but Many terms are still not clear to me
subb som: The 289T and 290T BINs have nothing to do with Pansat 3500SD. Those files are Pansat 2500 clones files. I think I lost track of the fact that you have a Pansat 3500SD. I was not aware people were having problems with those channels on 2500SD.
IS my BIN file of correct version. I copied it from another acquaintance who is getting all channels
One of our common friend also installed it and though he had issues, he finally got it working. That makes me think that the version listed in above post should not matter. As a matter of fact, I also get to see many channels (American). Its just that I am not getting ASIAN channels on 61.5
