Would there be any noticable problems with displaying a 1080i output from a dvd player on a 1080p tv? I beleive it upconverts everything to 1080p but I just want to make sure it's not going to look bad.

You give absolutely no equipment info and ask if "it's going to look bad". Try it and see for yourself.
