KICKER(HELP)

New member Username: Tt086Post Number: 9 Registered: Jan-07 | does kicker make good subs? i was looking to buy either 2 Kicker 06CVX12-4(1500 watts) or 2 Kicker 07CVR12-4(800 watts)..which would be best and what kind of amp would give either of them a good push? should i use 2 mono amps or one 2 channel amp? |

Always get a mono amp for subwoofers! This is because the "D class" amp is made for higher wattage and lower current draw from your charging system. A AB class amp (usually mutil channel amps) uses more current to run but is generally used for components. New member Username: Solobaric4lifeSeminole, Al United states Post Number: 1 Registered: Jan-07 | for all u jl lovers and kicker haters lol yea i got 2 L5<<< solo-baric 12's in a sealed box<<<< lol in my camaro with 1 memphis prd1000.1 mono amp (very good amp) and there was a gut with a 03 chevy avalanche with the whole back seat out with 2 W7 yes i mean W7 and 2 jl audio 1000.1 amps and he had a custom spl box from a sound shop and mine blowed his of the face of the earth but he had a little better sound quality, but at first i went over to his and he turned it up and it was pretty damn loud and we went to mine and he sen wat i had and he laughed, that was the wrong thing to do wen u dont know nothing about solo-barics lol and i turned it up and he couldnt beleive it mine was as loud out my car as his was in his avalanche he got so damn shamed it was funny   |

Usa Post Number: 16 Registered: Dec-06 | hey zach,I think we got the point about kickers sucking butt from our fellow bassheads on hear,So...im not trying to disagree with anyone on here.Just look at the pics and specs of the "Fi,DD,xxx,Mag and so on,kicker really dosent compare...butt,if youre on a budget and just want somewhat loud bass to be heard riding down the road,kicker is fine.I havent heard all the popular brands on here(im sure they slam on 3kwatts)but ive got 1 10in L5 on a kx600.1 in a reg.cab truck in a custum slot ported box @35hz and it ounds good to me. 100$for sub on sale at crutchfield 2 yrs ago and kx600.1 for 229$.so on a budget kicker is decent.if youre not on a budget,listen to the guys w/the treo's,DD's and the so popular MAGS.good luck on your system. |
