Silver Member Username: Th3pwn3rChicago, Illinois U.S.A Post Number: 915 Registered: Jul-06 | Does anyone know where I can find a crimper for 0gauge and bigger wire terminals?I've seen some as low as 60 bucks but it didn't look too great.I've also seen the Greenlee ones for 200+ which also isn't that appealing lol...I was just wondering if anyone here knew where to get a good one for a decent price, thanks. |

Silver Member Username: Th3pwn3rChicago, Illinois U.S.A Post Number: 924 Registered: Jul-06 | Using a vice and a hammer are not very solid ways of putting a ring terminal on.I've tried both of those methods for a while but they aren't the best.I can pull a ring terminal off that was been vise clamped or hammered on with my bare hands,I've done it.It holds but it's not very solid.Using an actual crimper is actually the best way but they run from 60 bucks for a tap type of set up and then 200 on up for the actual crimpers that I asked about. Thanks for staying on topic guys |

Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3638 Registered: Sep-04 | a bench vise WILL NOT pull loose lol. |
Silver Member Username: Th3pwn3rChicago, Illinois U.S.A Post Number: 926 Registered: Jul-06 | It won't?Damn...I guess I just made up a lie randomly. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 3642 Registered: Sep-04 | do you know what a bench vise is? those things can apply hundreds of pounds of pressure. all you have to do is know how to put on the ring terminal... you obviously dont just smush it. use pliers to bend in one side into the strands of wire, then the other. now smash them together.... it wont pull, not with your hands anyways, unless your chuck norris. and so yes, that was NOT a fact what you said and it wasnt random because it was on topic. so please stop bein a d!ck. thanks. |

Silver Member Username: Th3pwn3rChicago, Illinois U.S.A Post Number: 927 Registered: Jul-06 | I'll be a d1ck for as long as I please but only to a select few people.Have you ever used an crimper like the one I posted Trevor? If you had actually used one in an install shop you would know why I want one for myself. The time you save is also valuable as well.By the way you weren't helping me at all...I never asked how to crimp a ring terminal onto a wire,I asked if anyone knew where to get a crimper for a decent price,so thanks for the useless posts Trevor With all hostility aside now,how are thoses mags doing?I highly doubt they sound "Muddy" as some members on here have said. |
