LK -- I downloaded the 286T from the website you listed on the other thread but I don't know how to download the channel list. I did a blind scan and get this message "0 transponder founded"
Jacob...U can upload the channel listusing "channel master" program...or a Blind scan will work also instead of the channel list...
if U have 0 transponders then either u have a bad dish alignment, LNB, cable, switch, or receiver antenna settings
obviously the satelite signal is not getting to the receiver..best thing to do is run a cable from each sat directly to receiver then do a scan...if no channels then, its bad alignment, cable or LNB..and always reboot receiver after the scans..and make sure u have latest keys in receiver..
hi LK can you please help me. i could't see any channels all i could see is technical dificulties message from dish network, is this is whats going on everyone's receiver or only mine. my autoroll is on and i am getting new keys by it self when i check the control panel. plz reply thank you . i watch suntv,Gemini tv..,

Nalin: Thanks for your help. You are really great. You have pinpointed the problem. The power is exactly the problem as you mentioned. I connected the cable to the old DN receiver and the PANSAT 2700a started working fine.
I have one quick questions. All our desi channels which used to come to Echo 9 is coming now in Echo 7 ( I have not yet scanned echo 9). I just did a Blind scan on Echo 7 as you always suggest. Now, do i need to do a scan on Echo 9 or not. Will the channels continue to come on Echo 7 as well?

Anu Singh: The problem is now resolved partly. You don't see the technical message by DN but you will see the live telecast (instead of 12 hour delay). The program is exactly as what comes in India now.
On Echo 3 (61.5) yesterday, there were 2-3 Indo-Pakistani channels dwon because of "Technical difficulties" at DN. They are OK today. Sports 457 and 471 are inactive now and will probably be active around 11.00 pm eastern or even later. That is nothing abnormal.
Raghu Raghav: I am glad you are up and running. You can do a scan on Echo 9 (121W), go into Edit Channels, sort alphbetically, and you will be able to see duplication. You can then decide to erase whole of Echo 9 or you can erase some and keep some. What I do is to get the needed channels into my favourites. I have renamed the FAV1 -FAV5 as "General", Indian, Technical, Children, and Movie. I then put the appropriate favourites into these and leave the rest in the All section, which I hardly ever bother about.
Raghu Raghav: If you are getting a lot of Indian channels on Echo 7 (119W), you are probably getting them from AMC 16 (118.8W). This is a new Bird since about May, 2006 and carries many of the channels that were available from Intelsat 5. They include Doordarshan, NDTV, Bengali, Marathi, etc. These are the true free channels in India and there are similar ones from other Middle East and Eastern countries. The ones that come on Echo 9 (121 W) or Echo 3 (61.5) are what in India would be called paid viewing - the big ones being the Zee and Sony networks. The signal from 118.8W as obtained on a Linear LNB is weak, and the signal is much better with a circular LNB. Some of the latest DN dishes might be equipped with a LNB capable of both these satellites (plus the Echo 8.1 at 110W). I and many others in this forum would be very interested in finding out the LNB you have and confirmation or otherwise of my statement regarding AMC 16. Can anybody expalin to me how to load the update direct to thr Viewsat Extreme reciever by "LOADER 2". I did connected to the PC and unzipped files but the files are not loading to the reciever?
My Pansat 2500a hasnt been used for about 10 months. I have never downloaded it myself. What cable do I need and where do I hook it up (both ends). Then what do I do? I am a real newbie at this.

Since, now we're in 2007, DssWorld will be changing its theme. From what I've heard, is that DssWorld will now support All Common and Popular receivers (Pansats, Viewsats, Fortecs, etc) Basically, now it's becoming the real DSS/Satellite website. I think that they'll shut the website near next week and they'll re-open in Feb. DssWorld Forums have completely changed and they're still working on them. So, next month, that website will provide service for all the common receivers.

LK, or anyone on this forum Do you know by any chance if Globecast keys would be avilable any time soon? I am trying to open most of the Polish chanels ..Polsat, TVPolonia, TVp3 ...they are down fore more than 6 months.
My dish isnt autorolling anymore either, it autorolled the keys for Nagravision 00 correctly but the ones for Nagravision 01 weren't right, whats going on ?
The question as to which key is active is somewhat unnecessary. You need to have both Keys, i.e. sixteen, two digit numbers of Key 00 and the same of Key 01, for the receriver to work. Last time they changed the keys a few hours ago, the autoroll did not work, for many. To find a solution, is a programmer's nightmare. To get your own receiver going is simple. Turn autoroll off, put in the keys manually, make sure you save, then exit and switch off reciver for 40 seconds if necessary. Most likely your receiver will work.
This hit has only affected BL bins. VS and SV are rolling without a problem.
Last but not least (and I'm sure this has been said a few thousand time) keys are the same for all receivers. Only the active key is the one that changes, HOWEVER, as Nalin VERY CLEARLY stated, you need all Key 00 & Key 01 for your receiver to work!

Fred Miller: It is called Key morphing, a technique charlie uses to stop you from watching. IF IT BECOMES troublesome, 1. set auto roll off, 2. do set default keys 3. manully input Key 00, and Key 01 and save 4. turn receiver off and then turnit on after 30 seconds.

Hey everyone, I entered the new keys 4 pansat3500 n all channels r coming xcept 4 zeetv, zcine n B4U....whnevr i do go on these channels a pop-up windows says "positioner setting"....wat shud i change in the pos. settings n 2 wat in order 4 these channels 2 work? ......Thanks in advance
