Okay so i know that Arsenals are generally considered to be intended for sealed enclosures, but i know it isn't uncommon for ppl to port them seeing as ported boxes are just more popular in general.
who has heard arsenals ported?? how much sq would i really be sacrificing by porting them?? i probly listen to hip hop 3/4 of the time but when i do listen to rock/funk/jazz/pop/tech or whatever i don't want it to sound like crap. Since arsenals are meant for sealed, does that mean that if you port them they'll lose less SQ or lose that much more because they should be sealed??
I have two 10" arsenals. each in a 1.5 cuft tuned at 32 hz. I listen to a variety of music also. They keep up with the double bass drums of metal/rock and sound awsome when the bass is slow and low. I had the same question when I was putting my system together. Go ported. I'm glad I did.
