Wilson: The FTA receiver you buy comes with a programmable ROM, and the program in it is called BIN (short for Binary file). To be able to watch regualr programming, you need to update it now and then with the latest BIN. There are different BINs for different receivers.

I have an Ariza 700, when I try to download updates I don't have any download % percentage reading on the front led where you see the channels. All I get are lines scrolling across. Do I have to get the original factory settings for the receiver?
U have NITE RIDER lights..flash an older bin or factory bin...load it up (get it ready) and when the loader says DOWNLOAD, then turn back of receiver ON...then it will upload the bin..be persistent...its all about timing..
LK, I'm on 286t for my pansat 2500 clone. It's working perfectly fine. Would you advise that I upgrade to 287t despite that I still having a good working bin with no problems?
