Bronze Member Username: BasssquaredPost Number: 26 Registered: Nov-06 | he said from 1200 to 1400 and 100 watts makes a diff and actually shouldnt be from 1500 to 1700 or somewhere around there cus wouldnt i want more watts cus 750 is the rms and the peak is 1500 |
Gold Member Username: CtmikeCt. Post Number: 2896 Registered: Feb-06 | ignore peak, it doesn't mean a thing. and how much are you willing to spend on an amp? that'll help alot. |
Bronze Member Username: BasssquaredPost Number: 27 Registered: Nov-06 | i wouldn mind spending 300 dollars on an amp and i thought if u went past the peak thas when u blow ur subs |
Bronze Member Username: BasssquaredPost Number: 28 Registered: Nov-06 | would this amp be good enough i found it for 180 online wich is pretty good and it gives out 1500 watts out when its at a 1 ohm load wich is what two 4 ohm L7s would equal right? well tell me if it seems like a good amp for the pair CRUNCH PZI15001 - 1500 Watt Mono Block |
Silver Member Username: Trey4sportsPost Number: 251 Registered: Sep-06 | junk, crunch isnt a good brand. dont buy their sh!t, RMS rating is the amount of watts u can push ur sub continuosly without reaching its thermal limits. ignore peak power unless your wnating to compete and in that case use peak power when burping ur system (play a test tone for 3 seconds and full power) a coil can only sustain the peak wattage for a very short timespan before reaching its thermal limits which i talked about earlier. back to the question, Hifonics makes good budget amps this is probably your best choice under 250 http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14804 |

Bronze Member Username: BasssquaredPost Number: 29 Registered: Nov-06 | thas good thanks guys well ill prolly end up going with one of the hifonics amps i use to have a 12" hifonics Atlas and i was really impressed but it got jacked kinda pissed but glad cus it gives me a reason to get a better system i think my 2 L7s will sound a lot louder than just one 12" atlas |
