My sisters fuse on her head unit blew so i replaced it with another one. The fuse i took out was 5A but i only had a 30A to replace it with.

Will this be a problem or does it not matter?

It could be a problem yes, you could burn something out. I would put as close to 5 as you can to prevent damage.

i tried a 15A in it but it didnt seem to work but with the 30 it was fine.

Should i try to get another 5A and see if it works?

Are you saying that there was a 5 amp in there, and now you put in a 15 and that doesn't work?
If so there is a problem, as another 5 should work.

This is what happened. My sister had to get a new battery for her car and when it was taken out the cd player stopped working, there was no power and not even the security light flashed. So i took it out and thought to check the fuse, i took out the 5A that was in there and replaced it with a 15A as this was the closest i had to it but it didnt work so i put in a 30A and it worked again. I cant understand why this happend.

Thanks for you help
