just wondering if anybody in the area has taken their receiver in to repair the LFE bug yet? I spoke to one of the "Authorized Repair Centers" about this and they had absolutly no clue what I was talking about. Very re-assuring. If anybody has repaired theirs I would like to know where you took it, other than to CC. I bought mine on-line so I'm limited to the repair centers. Any help would be great.
I hate it when bad things happen to good receivers
Not LA but Orange county. I too bought mine online, and had to use an Authorized service center. Not only hadn't he heard about it, he didn't know what LFE was. It took a month of calls to him and onkyo (and emails) to get the board replaced.
My best advice, bring all the info you can. The service number, onkyo's phone number etc. Wait a week and call the repairman. If nothings been done, call onkyo. They were helpful for me.
In the end it was a hassle, but I'm glad I got it fixed.
